Aotearoa in layers of wood. This 3D bathymetric map shows both islands with their towns, roads, lakes and mountains laser engraved, set in a sea that deepens from pale turquoise to deep ocean blue, layer by layer, out to the Chatham Rise and the Bounty Trough.
Each layer is laser cut and stacked by hand, then set in a solid oak or ash frame, ready to hang. A striking piece for a lounge, office or bach, and a gift that means something to anyone who calls New Zealand home, or misses it.
Three sizes: 33 × 43 cm (13 × 17 in), 38 × 51 cm (15 × 20 in) and 43 × 58 cm (17 × 23 in). Four frame colours: coffee, natural wood, black or cinnamon. Natural wood, so each map's colour can be a little lighter or darker than shown.
Layered wood, oak or ash frame with no resin, finished to show the natural grain. Because every board is different, the grain and the movement of the pour on yours will differ slightly from the photo.
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Hang or place away from heat sources and strong direct sun.
Free delivery to any New Zealand address. Large pieces travel by courier or a specialist furniture carrier, or can be collected from the shop. Tell us about stairs or a narrow entrance when you order so delivery can be planned.
